Higgins Family Christmas Trees has been recognized as a leading grower of Christmas trees for over forty years. From their farm in Central Nova Scotia,  thousands of trees are produced and shipped throughout the Northeast United States, as far south as Florida, and as far west as Chicago and St Louis. From distribution points in Salem, Oregon; Wautoma, Wisconsin; and Jefferson, North Carolina, trees are shipped throughout the United States, representing every species, grade and size.

                                

Higgins Family Christmas Trees has been retailing trees in the Boston – Metro West area for three generations. The headquarters location in Ashland, MA is recognized as one of the most established retail lots in the area. Thousands of customers visit the location every year to select their tree and consider it their “family tradition” to buy a Higgins tree.

 

 

Higgins Trees also handles foreign refrigerated container shipment as far south as San Juan, Puerto Rico and Guatemala.

 

Forrest Higgins, representing Higgins Trees has served on various committees and trade associations in both Canada and the USA. He is past president of the Christmas Tree Council of Nova Scotia, past director of the Massachusetts Christmas Tree Association, 13 year board member of the IRBA group, member of the LCCTPA, member of both the Canadian Christmas Tree Association and the NCTA ( National Christmas Tree Association ) and has served on the Real Tree Marketing Committee. He presently serves on the Real Tree Market Expansion Task Force of the NCTA.

 

 

Kathy Higgins has managed the office affairs of Higgins Family Christmas Trees for the past 25 years. She also grades all the trees in the fall and manages the Boston retail operation in December.
